Product news: Sigma is presenting a new front light that goes by the name of Sigma Aura 60, just in time for autumn. The front light complements the StVZO lighting series "Aura" from Sigma Sport. The top model shines with 60 lux LED technology and, with a beam range of 70 meters, ensures excellent illumination of paths and streets. The high illuminance combined with the unrestricted StVZO approval makes the Aura 60 an ideal light for sporty drivers and commuters. Due to the total weight of 105 grams, the Aura 60 hardly weighs on the handlebars, which will particularly please racing cyclists.
Thanks to the high-quality LED lens, the Sigma Aura 60 should create a very even light distribution and offer optimal vision in the far, near and side areas without dazzling other road users. In this way, Sigma guarantees maximum safety on the road. The "Light Guide" on the long sides also increases the lateral visibility of the driver and thus creates significant added value. The splash water protection according to IPX4 standard prevents the ingress of water and dirt and rounds off the profile of the Aura 60. The Sigma Aura 60 has a total of three light modes: Standard, Mid and Eco. In standard mode, it lights up with its powerful 60 lux, resulting in a burn time of approx. 4 hours. In mid mode, the luminosity of the Aura 60 is reduced by half, but the remaining 30 lux and 40 meters of light range should be sufficient for higher speeds without hesitation. In mid mode, the battery performance then increases to a good 7 hours. In Eco mode, the burning time increases to 10 hours, so that the Sigma Aura 60 reliably illuminates the route with 18 lux even on longer tours.
Like all USB front lights from Sigma Sport, the Aura 60 has double-click switch-on protection and a two-stage battery and charging indicator. Thus, one is always informed about the battery capacity of the lamp. From 70 percent of the battery capacity, a green symbol appears in front of the lamp control button, below 30 percent it is red. The Sigma Aura 60 also provides information about the current state of charge during the charging process and can even be charged during operation. The lithium battery has deep discharge and overcharge protection. Since it has no memory effect, the battery can be fully charged again without any problems. The silicone handlebar mount is firmly connected to the Aura 60 and guarantees quick and precise attachment to any bicycle handlebar. The tool-free assembly also makes it easy to remove the light again after the journey, for example to stow it away safely or to charge it.
The Sigma Aura 60 USB will be available from October 1st, 2018 individually or as a set with the USB rear light Nugget II. The RRP is €49,95 for the individual lamp, the set price is €59,95.
