First Ride/ Product news: For the 2019 season, Corratec presented the Corratec Revolution i-Link at the Eurobike, a new cross-country weapon weighing less than 10 kg. We were able to test drive the device at the Mediadays.
The new Corratec Revolution i-Link is one of the highlights in the product range of the manufacturer from Raubling for the coming year. The carbon frame, equipped with the highest quality attachments, weighs less than 10 kilos including the pedals. With 100 mm or 120 mm of travel and a design that is coordinated from front to back, the mountain bike is an eye-catcher and at the same time lightning fast. In the final top version, the Corratec Revolution i-Link should weigh just 9,3 kg. The cheaper versions should appeal to touring bikers with 120 millimeters of spring travel.
One of the main reasons for the great performance of the Corratec Revolution i-Link is the VVP joint. Thanks to this, the racer offers the best conditions on any terrain to really step on the gas. The bike combines agile and playful handling to playfully master demanding trails paired with the necessary light weight and rigidity to climb uphill quickly. This is exactly where you can feel how uncomplicated and precise the construction is and how little power is lost, even when standing at full speed. Once you've mastered the tough ascent, you can really let it rip on the descent and use the full strength of the race fully.
With the Corratec Revolution i-Link, Corratec brings a marathon fully that convinces not only with its low weight but also with its high-quality equipment in the top version. In order to keep the weight of the top model down, Corratec relies on super-light Tune attachments. Because here too, Corratec remains true to itself and continues the line with particularly sporty mountain bikes.
As part of the Eurobike 2018, Corratec presented the new Revolution i-Link on a hanging scale. In the golden top version, the scales show just 9,3 kilos (without pedals). The two top versions of the Corratec Revolution i-Link come with 100 millimeters of travel at the front and rear and, of course, 29er wheels.
The top model of the Corratec Revolution i-Link comes with a decorative gold-black finish, costs 8499 euros and weighs only 9,3 kilos without pedals. In addition to the top model, which is trimmed for lightweight construction, there will be three other versions of the bike between 3299 and 5299 euros. The cheaper versions all come with a longer 120mm fork and a slightly heavier frame. According to Corratec, even the cheapest model for 3299 euros should still weigh less than 13 kilos. The longer suspension fork is responsible for a safer ride downhill and relaxes the seating position a bit.
