General: BULLS Copperhead 2019: newly developed frame and additional trail version

July 11, 2018 by Andrew Waldera

Product news: For the 2019 model year, BULLS has given the hardtail Copperhead a major makeover. In cooperation with the racing team, a new geometry with a longer reach, flatter head angle and shorter chainstays was realized. In addition to the newly designed frame, a BULLS Copperhead Trail version was created directly.

The ZEG exclusive brand BULLS is currently presenting many innovations for the 2019 model year. This also affects the hardtail Copperhead, which has a completely redesigned frame. The modern geometry with a larger reach, flatter steering angle and longer wheelbase should guarantee the rider more stable handling in fast and rough passages. At the same time, the designers gave the Copperhead shorter chainstays for agility. The new dropouts on the hardtail also promise the driver more heel room.

The aluminum frame has butted tubes and adapted tube cross-sections, the internally routed cables already find their way into the inside of the frame at the tapered head tube. A special trail version with an adapted geometry was also developed for 2019. Characteristics of the Copperhead Trail are the slack 66° steering angle, the 130 mm suspension fork and the telescopic seat post. Prices range from EUR 799,95 for the Copperhead 1 entry-level model to EUR 1.699,00 for the Copperhead 3RS with 12-speed SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain and Fox 32 SC Performance suspension fork. With the exception of the 3GX, all models in the Copperhead series are available as 27.5 or 29 inch versions.
