MTB News: Bike pro Guido Tschugg was the face of Haibike for many years. No other rider has shaped e-MTB sport as much as the Allgäu native. Now, however, the exceptional athlete is moving on. Guido Tschugg is now riding for the Husqvarna Bicycles brand.
The new year begins for the Allgäu native with a new sponsorship contract. At his own request, Guido Tschugg is switching to the new eMobility brand of PEXCO GmbH, which was only founded in 2017. With the change to Husqvarna Bicycles, the bike pro can combine his two sporting passions of enduro/motocross and e-biking with one sponsor for the first time. However, Guido Tschugg will not only be on the road as an athlete for Husqvarna Bicycles, but will also act as a consultant. With his valuable experience, the MTB professional should actively participate in the areas of product development and prototype testing. The wealth of experience and the list of successes of the 41-year-old are truly impressive. In the 4-Cross, Downhill and Freeride disciplines, he climbed the podium several times. Tschugg was the only German to take part in the Red Bull Rampage twice. In 2017 he won the Masters class (over 40) at the Downhill World Championships in Andorra.
PEXCO GmbH, based in Schweinfurt in Lower Franconia, was founded by the Puello family of entrepreneurs and KTM Industries AG. The company name PEXCO stands for Puello eMobility Crossover Company. The focus is on the development and sale of bicycles and e-bikes. In addition to Husqvarna Bicycles, the new family-run company also includes the brands Raymon and R2R (Ready 2 Race).
