Cycling/Market: The new team EF Education First - Drapac p/b Cannondale (formerly Team Cannondale-Drapac) has presented its new training and competition jerseys from POC. POC also brings color-coordinated helmets to match the jerseys. While the pink color should be clearly visible in the race, orange is the order of the day in training.
A few weeks ago, the team of Tour de France second Rigoberto Uran presented his new sponsor EF Education First, which ensures the continued existence of the Cannondale-Drapac team. However, such a new sponsor brings not only a new name but also a new jersey design, which has now been presented. The full name of the team in 2018 will be EF Education First - Drapac p/b Cannondale and will also be clearly recognizable by its POC jersey and helmet design. Rigoberto Uran and his colleagues will start with large areas of pink. The Swedish company POC has been convincing for some time when it comes to clothing and protection with innovative products and technologies and it is not for nothing that it has received all the Eurobike and ISPO Awards several times.
The training jersey from EF Education First, on the other hand, features a significantly different color palette and is designed to give riders extra security during training rides, especially when driving on public roads. In addition to the eye-catching choice of colors in the jersey and helmet design, the aim is not only to attract attention visually, but also to build on the successes of the 2017 season in sporting terms next year. Captain Rigoberto Uran has already spoken out in favor of a possible start in the Tour de France and Vuelta in view of the difficult world championships in Innsbruck. It remains to be seen whether he and his team can do anything against the superiority of Team Sky and Chris Froome. Nevertheless, Uran was the Briton's closest competitor at this year's Tour of France, finishing second, less than a minute behind. Let's see if it will soon go in pink to yellow on the upcoming tour.
