Cycling: Races are not only held in Spain at the moment. In other countries, too, professionals are fighting for success on the street. Today, for example, the Tour of Britain started and a winner was crowned at the GP de Fourmies one-day race. Caleb Ewan (Orica-Scott) and Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) had reason to celebrate.
Ewan beats many top sprinters in Kelso
In contrast to the Vuelta, the spectators can admire some top sprinters at the Tour of Britain this week. At the start there was a mass sprint. Australian Caleb Ewan (Orica-Scott) won this. The little sprinter left behind Edvald Boasson Hagen (Dimension Data), Elia Viviani (Sky), Alexander Kristoff (Katusha-Alpecin) and Fernando Gaviria (Quick-Step Floors). The best German was Marcel Sieberg (Lotto Soudal) in 14th place.
That's how close it was! 😱
Blanket finish across these four riders but @CalebEwan of @OricaScott nod it! #OVOToB

No German success in Fourmies either
Already yesterday at the Brussels Cycling Classic, the German top sprinters were only at a disadvantage. It shouldn't get any better in France today either. Marcel Kittel (Quick-Step Floors) was not able to repeat last year's victory. Just like yesterday, he gave up the race prematurely. Things went much better for the French. Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) won ahead of his compatriot Marc Sarreau (FDJ). The French also took positions 4, 6,7, 9 and XNUMX. After all, a German was able to sprint to three: Rüdiger Selig (Bora-hansgrohe) was of course automatically the strongest German. John Degenkolb finished tenth.
