MTB cycling: One month after the first Downhill World Cup of the 2017 season, the riders can look forward to a very physically challenging course this weekend in Fort William. In the last two years the winners have been Rachel Atherton and Greg Minaar - who will be on top of the podium this year? The performance of the 29-incher in Fort William is also being watched with excitement: will 27.5” soon become obsolete in DH sport?
Fort William is an integral part of the downhill competition calendar. For the 15th time, the World Cup will be hosted in the Scottish Highlands this weekend. The course definitely has it all! The 2,8 kilometers guarantee pure adrenaline – not only for the riders, but also for the spectators. This year, thousands of fans lining the course will once again heat up the riders - for comparison: the town itself has only 10.000 inhabitants. If you can't be there live, you have the opportunity to experience the spectacle up close via stream. Red Bull TV will broadcast the men's and women's finals live on Sunday from 14.00 p.m.
