Lifestyle / Video: For the first time in the history of the 26TRIX in Saalfelden Leogang, a rider was able to successfully defend his title. With 93.66 points, the Italian Diego Caverzasi relegated the US star and reigning FMB World Champion Nicholi Rogatkin to second place. Only 0.66 points separated the drivers from each other. What a final!
The 23-year-old Italian opened his winning run with a frontflip barspin X-up, followed by an opposing 360, frontflip no-hander, cash-roll, no-hander and backflip barspin-to-tailwhip. A very clean run, which the judges rewarded accordingly. “It's an unbelievable feeling to win here again today. Nobody has done that yet! I thought about it when I left home, but I didn't believe it. Last Saturday I hurt my shoulder quite badly in a fall, so I haven't been able to ride that much this week. I think I was a bit lucky too as many riders struggled with their runs today. But I also showed a lot of new tricks, a cashroll and frontflip combos to get as many points as possible,” said Diego Caverzasi at the award ceremony.
