Market / MTB: With the Orange Stage 5 and the Orange Stage 6, the traditional British manufacturer presents two newcomers with large wheels for maximum speed. One trail bike, one enduro – developed and constructed for experienced trail pilots who want to get the most out of themselves and their bikes. For the time being, the two new 29ers are only available as noble limited editions.
The British MTB builder Orange Bikes has a loyal fan base around the world who, in addition to the unique and unmistakable look of the bikes made in Great Britain, also appreciate the simple functional principle and the honest image of the manufacturer founded in 1988. With every new model series and also with the two newcomers Stage 5 and Stage 6, Orange shows that a sense of tradition is in no way in conflict with modern trends in the MTB world.
Both bikes rely on 29″ wheels and a modern geometry: flat steering angle, long reach. Of course, the tried-and-tested single-pivot rear triangle should not be missing either, which not only works well, but also requires significantly less maintenance than comparable multi-pivot suspension. For the time being, both the Stage 5 and the Stage 6 will be available as limited editions and with fine equipment that leaves nothing to be desired. The regular models and the frame kit should then also be expected in the next few months.
Orange Stage 5 LE – Potent trail bike with high-end equipment
The Orange Stage 5 is a modern trail bike as it should be. With 135mm spring travel at the rear and 140mm at the front, there is a lot of fun, especially in connection with the 29″ wheels. With a steering angle of 66,5°, you have a fully descent-capable vehicle under your butt that should cut a fine figure both up and down the trail. The Stage 5 LE comes with a classy Fox Factory chassis, brakes from British compatriots Hope and an XT 1-speed drivetrain from Shimano. Classy, classy - that's why the steep price of €6.500 isn't surprising.

Orange Stage 6 LE – The big ones for the big ones
With the Stage 6, Orange now also has a 29er for really rough terrain in its range. 150mm spring travel at the rear, 160mm at the front - according to Orange, the frame can even handle forks up to 170mm - point the way: down! The geometry was based on the requirements of the Enduro racing circuit and the Stage 6 was given a slack 65,5° steering angle and 450mm long chainstays for smooth running at high speeds. Friends of modern frame geometries should also be happy about the ample reach of 462mm (size L).
There are no compromises when it comes to the equipment of the Stage 6 in the Limited Edition: Here, too, a mixture of Fox Factory chassis, Hope brakes and add-on parts and Shimano XT drive leaves nothing to be desired. The Orange Stage 6 LE is also priced at €6.500
