Lake MX180 : Christmas is fast approaching and our advent calendar still has a few highlights ready: Today you can win the Lake MX180 enduro shoe.
Enduro sport is still very trendy: no surprise, because as a spectacular mixture of demanding descents and tough, exhausting uphill passages, this subcategory of MTB sport promises a lot of variety - whether as a rider or as a spectator. However, the enormously wide range of different route sections also poses great challenges for people and material. The MX180 from the US manufacturer Lake at least wants to solve the "Enduro shoe" problem.
The right footwear for endurists is not easy to find: Uphill passages require a high degree of pedaling efficiency, but during descents the foot not only has to be very well protected, but also needs the appropriate freedom to prevent leg fatigue. Last but not least, the sole should also offer appropriate grip next to the bike, since pushing and carrying passages are not uncommon. Lake tries to meet all of these very special requirements with the MX180: Strategically used reinforcements protect the foot from rock and stone contact, the spacious toe box gives enough freedom even on longer rides, while the stiff sole ensures good power transmission. One is particularly proud of the special rubber compound of the sole, which does not shy away from deep forest soil with its aggressive side lugs.
A Boa fastener ensures the right, secure fit, and thanks to the waterproof microfiber outer material, feet and socks stay warm and dry even in bad weather.
