Lifestyle: The Rocky Mountain Trail Games celebrated their premiere last August with a completely new concept. For three days, the participants had to face a wide variety of tasks on the single trails in the Engadin St. Moritz and Corviglia region. In contrast to other events, it was not about best times, but about the best possible solution to the tasks as a team. After the success of the premiere event, the organizer is now giving the green light for 2017.
At the Rocky Mountain Trail Games, teams of 2 and 3 compete against each other to win the individual disciplines or the overall victory with the most points. Thomas Schlecking from the organizer Bike Projects reveals that the disciplines “need to repeat” and “catch the time” were the highlights for the participants. With "need to repeat" it was necessary to conjure up the same time on the trail twice. In the "catch the time" mode, on the other hand, the participants had to meet a given time as precisely as possible.
An event that was obviously fun for those involved - so it is not surprising that the games will be continued in 2017. "Based on the premiere, we will certainly come up with a few more exciting innovations in winter, which will make the three days in St. Moritz even more varied," Thomas Schlecking continues.
