Cycling: 23-year-old Max Walscheid from Team Giant-Alpecin has won his third consecutive stage in the eleventh edition of the Tour of Hainan. The fifth section ran over 185 kilometers from Danzhou to Changjiang on the southern Chinese archipelago. In the photo finish, the German was ahead of Rafael Andriato (Wilier-Southeast) and Roberto Ferrari (Lampre-Merida). In addition to the points classification, he now also leads the overall standings, 18 seconds ahead of Ferrari and 20 seconds ahead of Andriato. On the 6th stage, however, a few kilometers before the finish line, a climb of the 1st category awaits the riders. So it will be difficult for Max Walscheid to maintain his lead.
