Also on board of the Team Green'n Fit sponsors is the company Uvex from Fürth, which not only provided us with the helmet but also with two pairs of sunglasses. A stylish one for leisure and for the podium and another optical highlight for the road or on the MTB trail. Of course, I was particularly interested in the Sportstyle 810V model for training and racing.
The glasses fit me perfectly right away. No slipping or pressing of the bridge of the nose and no uncomfortable pressure behind the ear. The glasses fit perfectly and cannot be felt. Put it on and forget it.
Of course, the glasses meet all guidelines and requirements and also keep the harmful UVA, UVB and UVC rays away from the eye. So far everything is clear and also to be expected.
But I was particularly excited about the so-called Variomatic technology. This promises automatic and stepless adjustment to changing light conditions and tinting of the glasses. And what can I say, at the beginning I was very skeptical as to whether this is really feasible and whether the glasses can achieve this feat and guarantee the high demands that we cyclists have for optimal vision. After all, our security often depends on it.
But all my doubts vanished in no time. Bäääääm what a field of vision !!!
Today I'm an enthusiastic fan and wouldn't want to do without this glass variant, which was new to me until then. Whether tunnels, underpasses, glaring light or rapid sun and shadow changes. No problem with the Uvex, which adapts to all conditions in fractions of a second and offers a maximum of perspective and thus also safety.
Uvex has also hit the bull's eye when it comes to design. Optimal field of vision, no watery eyes from drafts or fast descents and I can't report any problems with fogging up glasses.
All in all, a very clear 1 for the Sportstyle 810V from Uvex, which also causes a visual stir. An absolute hammer !!
