Cycling: The cooperation between the professional team association Velon and the InFront Sports Media Group is bearing fruit. After it was announced last week that the performance data of selected riders can be followed live on TV during the Tour de Suisse, it was announced today that this data will also be available throughout the stages in a separate iOS app and on the new Velon website become.
With the Tour de Suisse starting tomorrow (for preview), the cooperation between the sports marketing giant InFront Sports Media and Velon is also gaining momentum: Live performance data from the riders, more precisely speed, heart rate, cadence, acceleration and pedaled power can be viewed during the stages for selected drivers not only on the screen during the TV broadcast, but also online or on your mobile phone. For this purpose, some bikes in the peloton are equipped with special devices that collect the data mentioned directly and immediately transmit them to a data center. At the beginning, about 12 daily changing drivers or their bikes are to be equipped with the technology per stage.
The Velon app will be available in the app store later today, and the launch of Velon's new data platform, on which non-Apple users can track data on any device, is also expected today. We are very excited about the implementation and look forward to more transparency in cycling!
