Market / Lifestyle: Like so many of its competitors, the young brand CUCU from Barcelona has set itself the goal of combining style and functionality with its jerseys, shirts, trousers and socks, or in one jersey. But what makes the guys from Catalonia so special: They manage to convey the spirit of cycling in their designs.
In the past and present, many labels and brands from the field of cycling have tried to bridge the gap between style and function, between modernity and tradition, between trend and retro. However, only a few managed this balancing act as well as the small manufacturer from Barcelona. It doesn't matter whether it's jerseys, shirts or accessories like socks: somehow there's more to it than just the design, somehow the colors and the words evoke images in us that we associate with cycling.
The jerseys bear the names of famous cycling locations: Tourmalet, Galibier, Hautacam - of course, this also reflects the connection between the creators and these locations. As they say on their website, CUCU is an attempt to reconcile their two great passions: design and cycling. We think that they are doing extremely well and look forward to being able to take a closer look at one or the other piece of clothing in the future.
