Product news: Ram Force CX1

14 October 2014 by the editorial office

Market: The trend towards eleven-speed drives seems unstoppable - the advantages are obvious: consistent range of gear ratios, fewer attachments and the resulting lower weight. Sram also offers one now Force CX1 for cyclocross use.

the sram Force CX1 can be bought as a complete drive, but there is an interesting option for drivers who already have a Sram drive and want to upgrade it. Because the Force CX1 is compatible with most Sram components.

All you need is the patented one X sync sprocket and that CX1 X Horizon derailleur. Sram also recommends changing the chain, which in combination with the new attachments should offer better performance. If you want, you can also install a wide-ratio eleven-speed cassette, but the use of the older ten-speed cassettes does not stand in the way. The components of Force CX1 are compatible with all road bike shifters, regardless of whether they are designed for 10 or 11 speeds.

Attention is only given to the bolt circle of the crank, this is 110 millimeters. Cranksets currently run with 46-36 blades can be adjusted with spacers provided.

Also new is the Force CX1 ErgoDynamic™ Lever, which on the one hand should bring significant weight savings, on the other hand should give the rider more control over the bike.
