Market: The Canadian bike manufacturer Devinci Cycles has caused quite a stir in the last twelve months. They won the 2013 Downhill World Cup with Stevie Smith and only a few weeks ago they won the Enduro World Series in La Thuile with Damien Oton. Now the new enduro bullet for the coming season is being presented, the Spartan carbon 2015.

The concept of Devinci Spartan is nothing new, but up to now they have ridden on the aluminum chassis and have already shown with Damien Oton how much potential the bike has. The Canadians have now developed a carbon frame for the coming season. The aim was not only to optimize the weight, but also to make the frame more durable and stiffer.

The engineers have more than clearly succeeded in this. The monocoque frame has lost a whopping 850 grams compared to the aluminum version and now weighs 2,8 kilograms with the damper.

It's stingy with useful details Spartan carbon not. The 3D-forged rocker on the seat tube, which controls the shock absorber via the carbon seat stays, guarantees high frame rigidity, as does the tapered head tube and the 12 x 142 millimeter rear wheel thru axle. The top tube, which slopes down towards the seat tube, guarantees maximum riding safety and mobility on the bike, even on steep, exposed trails.

Finally, for optimal performance and maximum riding fun, the geometry can be adjusted to individual needs and different route profiles via a flip chip on the shock absorber mount. For example, the steering angle can be adjusted from a moderate 66,4° to a more race-oriented 65,8°.

Spartan-Aluminium version shares that Spartan carbon in addition, the proven 27.5″ wheel concept and the both easy to absorb and powerful split pivot-Rear triangle with concentric link on the rear axle. This offers the driver a whopping 165 millimeters of spring travel.
