Cycling: The reigning German U23 champion Christian Pfäffle will ride for the Lexware mountain bike team again in 2015. The man from Neuffen extended his contract with the Upper Black Forest Mountain Bike Team by one year.
Christian Pfäffle will remain with the team for his fourth and final year in the U23 category. The 21-year-old saw no reason to switch teams. "Everything has worked well for the last two years; I have everything I need at Lexware. I think that's why staying with the team for my last U23 year is a good solution for me ," explains Christian Pfäffle.
He points out that he can concentrate fully on the sport in his familiar environment. “The organisation, the team, the Scott bikes, I know everything and know that I can rely on them. This saves me from having to adapt to changing conditions and I can continue to develop without losing energy,” says Pfäffle, who is driving under the Lexware flag for the second year.
Team manager Daniel Berhe is delighted with the contract signing. "With Christian, we can continue our work at a high level, focusing on U23 and junior riders. He's a top rider in Germany and is also moving towards medal positions internationally. We want to continue supporting him on this path," explains Berhe, who is also pleased to have received the signature so early. At the same time, Pfäffle serves as a role model for the younger riders. "He's a very conscientious athlete, and it's a pleasure to work with him. The young riders can also benefit from that ," says Berhe about the Swabian. Pfäffle's greatest achievements to date include the German Championship title in the U23 category, fourth place at the Eliminator World Championships, a second and a fifth place in the Eliminator World Cup, and seventh place at the 2013 U23 World Championships.
