Product news: Specialized presents CVNDSH collection

25 April 2014 by the editorial office

The CVNDSH Collection by Specialized is a complete line of road bikes shaped by the unique personality and athletic achievements of Mark Cavendish.

The collection, which arose from a close collaboration between Specialized and Mark's own brand CVNDSH, reflects both Mark's unique will to win and his timelessly elegant style. It's the first time that Specialized has dedicated an entire collection to a rider.

"The decisive thing about the collection is the outstanding quality of the products", according to Cavendish. "I would never just put my name under an existing collection, that wouldn't be my style. However, my team and I were very closely involved in the development of these products, they carry my personal touch and most importantly: I really believe that they inspire the driver to perform at their best.”

Speed, precision and attention to detail paired with innovations at the highest technical level characterize the line, which consists of bib shorts, jersey, gloves, helmet, shoes, saddle and a Specialized Edition of the S-Works Venge. The subtle use of the color green, which stands for speed like no other in cycling, gives the CVNDSH collection an elegant yet eye-catching design.

"Mark is extremely dynamic and productive as a rider - values that are deeply rooted in the Specialized philosophy", said Specialized founder Mike Sinyard. “Offering drivers a real performance advantage has always been our top priority. When a rider of Mark's stature works so closely with us, a project like this takes us even further forward on this front.”

The strictly limited products will not be available for retail individually, but only as a complete collection line. It is sold through a small network of pre-selected Specialized dealers. From April 26, 2014, consumers can find out which dealers carry this exclusive range on the Specialized website. The collection will be available in stores from May 12, 2014.
