Although it is only a hairline fracture, the recovery will take too long for him to compete in Chile. “The fracture is very minor, but the forces acting in this area are so great that we are not taking any risks. Dan will have surgery and begin his recovery as soon as the swelling has subsided,” said team manager Dan Brown.
