Product news: Sram RED rear derailleur recall

5 December 2013 by Rick Schubert

sram2

As Sram announced yesterday, together with the American Product Safety Commission, it was determined that the Sram NET 10-speed rear derailleur with medium cage has safety issues. So there is the possibility that the circuit parallelogram is stuck and can no longer be moved. The rear derailleurs with the serial numbers between 31T2000000 and 11T39999999 are affected. Sram recommends stopping use immediately and taking the affected product to the nearest retailer where it can be replaced free of charge.
