cycling: Paolo Bettini: Heading to Fernando Alonso's team?

According to the Italian television station, the FACT-titled team project of the two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso Rai to be presented in Madrid on January 7th. If you believe the broadcaster's statements, the double Olympic champion and double world champion Paolo Bettini will also be there. Bettini previously worked as a coach for the Italian national team. However, he has now given up this position and could therefore take up a position as sporting director of the Alonso team.

Bettini himself has probably not decided yet. Across from TuttobiciWeb.it he stated: “The decision was by no means easy for me. Everyone knows how much I love the blue shirts [the outfit of the Italian national team] am connected. But now I have several options on the table that I'm thinking about. It's no secret that the design of Alonso's project is very exciting and interesting, shall we say, revolutionary.” Regarding his future, he added: "I haven't signed anything yet, but there will be a decision in the next few weeks."
