Product news: Specialized Alias: One wheel, two faces

12 October 2013 by the editorial office

alias1

Specialized presents with the "Alias" a bike that is specifically aimed at women who are addicted to short and middle distance triathlon. The aim was to develop a bike specifically for women, which can be used both in training and in competitions - and to make the purchase of a second bike a thing of the past.

alias6

The "Alias" is on the one hand a classic racing bike and on the other hand a future-oriented triathlon bike. It has a multitude of practical features. In addition to the usual racing bike position, the bike also enables a sporty aero position. The frame is made of FACT carbon and can be expanded with an aerodynamically shaped top tube Remora box. The road bike version has a seat post offset of 35 millimeters, the triathlon version has no offset. This is equipped with clip-on aero trailers.

The geometry of "Alias" is, according to Specialized, specially tailored to the needs of women, but also makes a compromise in terms of comfort and aerodynamics. The result of this compromise is, among other things, the seat post, which has the aforementioned offset. The frame shape has a relatively large number of teardrop tubes, which is intended to increase aerodynamics.

The "Alias" comes in three versions, which differ depending on the equipment. Prices are not available to us at the moment, but we will deliver them as soon as possible.
