Product News / E-Bike: With the Pegasus Estremo Evo, there will be an exciting new city e-bike with the Pinion MGU from next season. The bike will be available in two configurations from 5.499 euros.
With the presentation of the Pinion E-Drive system or the Pinion MGU, what many e-bikers have been wishing for for a long time has come true: the combination of a powerful central motor and a gear shift in one unit. This means that neither a derailleur nor a hub gear is required on the rear wheel. You don't have to compromise on the range of gears, on the contrary: With 600% for the 12-speed and 568% for the 9-speed gearbox, it beats all hub and derailleur gears on the market. In terms of power, the system can also keep up with the most common mid-mounted motors on the market - such as the Bosch Performance CX.

[blog specific=“175745″]If you believe the statements made by Pinion, then the Pinion MGU is also almost maintenance-free: the southern German manufacturer promises that an oil change is only necessary every 10.000 km. In combination with a carbon belt, you get a clean, long-lasting system without major follow-up costs.
For the market launch of the Pinion E-Drive system come directly nine manufacturers with corresponding bikes on the market. With the new Estremo Evo, traditional manufacturer Pegasus serves the area of city and everyday bikes. Certainly a segment where the new drive unit should be particularly popular. In addition, both models offered remain priced under 6.000 euros - the cheaper Estremo Evo 9 Lite is currently the cheapest e-bike with Pinion MGU on the market at 5.499 euros.
Large battery and eShift Remote
Comfort is a top priority with the new Estremo Evo. With the combination of large-volume 55 mm wide tires and a suspension fork with 100 mm suspension travel, even the worst bike paths should lose their terror. There is also an upright sitting position, padded saddle and ergonomic handles. In addition, both variants are available with three frame shapes: In addition to the classic men's or diamond frame, the Estremo Evo is also available with a trapezoidal frame and as a step-through frame. Regardless of frame shape and size, there is always a 700 Wh battery in the down tube, which should have more than enough capacity for any everyday use.
Exciting: The new Fit eShift Remote is installed on the Pegasus Estremo Evo. With the control unit, not only the support level of the drive can be changed - but also the gear engaged! You can use your left thumb to make any adjustments to the drive that are necessary while driving. The eShift Remote is supplemented by the Compact Display. The color screen is bright enough even in direct sunlight and provides all the necessary information. A larger display can easily be retrofitted by a specialist retailer if required. In connection with the Fit E-Bike Control app, the navigation can also be shown on the display - including a range calculator.
Two equipment variants from 5.499 euros
The Pegasus Estremo Evo is available in two equipment variants, the main difference of which can already be seen in the name: while the Estremo Evo 12 Lite has a Pinion MGU with 12 gears installed (MGU E1.12), the Estremo Evo 9 Lite comes with the variant with 9 aisles (MGU E1.9). In addition, you have to do without the belt drive and the XT brakes with 9 pistons on the cheaper Estremo Evo 4 Lite.
