Cycling: Primoz Roglic has won the fourth stage of the Vuelta a Espana and has taken the red jersey. Mads Pedersen couldn't beat the Slovenian in the uphill sprint either.
Roglic takes over red from teammate Affini
With an impressive start, Primois Roglic (Jumbo – Visma) secured victory on the fourth stage of the Vuelta a Espana. The Slovenian won the 152,5-kilometer section from Vitoria-Gasteiz to Laguardia ahead of the Dane Mads pedersen (Trek – Segafredo), who got the uphill sprint approached perfectly by his teammates. But he also had nothing to oppose the liveliness of Primoz Roglic. With this win, Roglic takes over the red jersey from his teammate Edward Affini (Jumbo - Visma). After four stages, the fourth driver of Jumbo - Visma wears the leader's jersey.
Yates & Carapaz lose time
Spain's hopefuls also presented themselves strongly Enric Mas Nicolau (Movistar). As third in the stage, Mas is counted at the same time as the day's winner. The day went much less well for some competitors. So lost among other things Richard Carapaz (Ineos Grenadiers), Simon yates (BikeExchange - Jayco), Joao almeida (UAE) and Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana) seven seconds.
The defending champion strikes first!
A huge sprint finish from @rogla to take the victory and overall lead on Stage 4 ahead of @Mads__Pedersen and @EnricMasNicolau.
