Oakley Kato Prizm 24K: For that golden feeling even after the Olympic Games

August 19, 2021 by Florian Nowak

Product news: Attentive fans may have already seen them, we're talking about the new Oakley Kato Prizm 24k, which shines in a completely golden look. On the occasion of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Oakley has launched its latest sports performance model in a precious metal look and is now offering it to fans all over the world.

The design and features of the Oakley Kato are intended to create a superhero look as the aim is to unleash and emphasize the athletes' "super powers". The Oakley Kato with Prizm 24K lenses was developed to continue to revolutionize the face of sport and to give top athletes from around the world the confidence to show their best. The Kato relies on a revolutionary design that adapts to the contours of the face and thus ensures a seamless look. Thanks to the frameless construction, the adjustable temple system and different nose pads for a tailor-made fit, the Oakley Kato offers features at the highest level. Combined with Prizm lens technology, it offers athletes optimized coverage, an expanded field of vision and lenses that enhance color and contrast so you can see more detail.

Oakley Kato features PhysioMorphic Geometry, the latest optical design innovation from Oakley. The new technology follows in the footsteps of previous Oakley innovations. Inspired by human evolution and the laws of nature, PhysioMorphic Geometry allows us to design and develop eyewear without the known limitations. In the Oakley Kato, this technology enables an unprecedented lens shape with an expanded envelope and the necessary stiffness in key areas that mimic the structural properties of a frame.

Oakley Kato Prizm 24k – details at a glance

  • Design: The Oakley Kato features a progressive, revolutionary design that aims to position the lens as close to the face as possible, thus offering optimized coverage, a wider field of vision, better frame support and greater protection against impacts.
  • Glasses: Enabled by Oakley's latest optical design advancement, PhysioMorphic Geometry, the lens is engineered with extended wrap and stiffness in key areas that mimic the structural properties of a frame.
  • Innovative ironing system: With this adjustable temple system, the lens tilts and adapts correctly and comfortably to different face shapes.
  • nose pads: Included are three Unobtainium nose pads of varying thickness and depth to allow for an ideal fit and ensure a no-slip fit.
  • Prizm lens technology: Also available with other Prizm lenses that enhance color and contrast for increased detail
