Spectrum: The fact that e-bikes are currently all the rage, all you have to do is jump into the saddle and keep your eyes open on the cycle paths. However, a new study brought to light a particularly surprising result: According to this, two out of three respondents are planning to buy an e-bike.
Corona makes Germany an e-bike country
The Corona crisis in particular is causing the demand for e-bikes to go through the roof. The Combination of home office and switching from public transport to two-wheelers is the key growth factor.
According to the pollsters want to after all 12,9 percent of those surveyed get an e-bike in 2021. For another 51,6 percent, the purchase is at least planned in the future. A third of all potentially interested parties have already carried out more detailed technology and price research.
Interviewed at the end of March 2021 a total of 1.000 people between the ages of 16 and 65, the information that they have not yet had an e-bike. The results with regard to the popularity of certain e-bike types are also interesting:

- Other (0,7%)
E-bike subscriptions are attracting interest
Subscription models are becoming increasingly popular. After all, many people just want to enjoy mobility while doing it don't worry about repairs and the like have to deal with the loss in value.
No wonder, that 51,9 percent of those surveyedwho are planning to buy an e-bike are not averse to an e-bike subscription. Among those surveyed who have already thrown themselves into intensive purchase research, the willingness to use the rental model is particularly pronounced, with 80 percent agreeing.
