Bike Events: The Gravel Epic is the world's first global series of prestigious multi-day gravel cycling events for amateur riders. The future-oriented concept is based on a combination of a multi-stage and time trial format, legendary targets and a support team based on the Haute Route model. This year, two events in Marrakech and Switzerland are on the program as part of the series.

The Gravel Epic started in 2019 and is currently the only multi-day gravel racing series. With the takeover by the French Haute Route Group, the series should develop into an incomparable cycling event at the top level. The aim is to develop a European and ultimately global series for 2022 and beyond. This year, two events will take place in Marrakech and Switzerland.
Switzerland
The 2021 Gravel Epic season will open with the Gravel Epic Switzerland on September 25th and 26th in and around the famous ski resort of Verbier. The event starts and ends every day near the hut, which will be exclusively available to the participants of the event. The two-day route leads across the Alps and valleys over gravel roads, forest tracks and small utility roads. Participants have the choice between a long and a short route and can choose between the two on each day. The prologue marks the start of the event on Friday evening.

Marrakech
The second date in 2021 takes gravel bikers to the Atlas Mountains just outside of Marrakech. The event takes place from October 7th to 9th and is designed as a point-to-point timed race. Every day the drivers go to a different destination than the day before. The event spans five days, three days of which will be races with a finisher event at a remote campground. The transport of the luggage is organized by the organizers so that the participants can fully concentrate on driving. Each stage is supported with supply stations and mechanics.
