Dynamics Vulcano E-MTB in the test: Strong all-rounder for women

July 12, 2020 by Michael Faiss

Dynamics Vulcano

Test: Special E-MTBs for women are still rare. So it's all the more refreshing to take a close look at a bike like the Dynamics Vulcano, which combines sportiness and comfort very nicely and has a great Bosch duo when it comes to the drive system.

Drive: Bosch Performance Line
Maximum torque: 65Nm
Battery capacity test bike: 500Wh
Fork: Suntour XCM DS HLO
Circuit: Shimano Deore 9-speed
Brake: Tektro HD-275
wheel size: 27,5 inch

Weight 24,52kg
Maximum weight allowed: 125kg
Price: € 2.549

Geometry, components, drive: The Vulcano can definitely be driven in a sporty way!
Insider tip: The Performance Line motor is overshadowed by its CX sister model, but fits very well on a bike like the Vulcano.
Great: The 500Wh battery sunk into the down tube makes long tours possible without any problems.
Monkeylink attachments at the front and rear allow easy retrofitting of a lighting system that is automatically powered by the battery.

The 9-speed circuit from Shimano fulfills its purpose - no more and no less.
Inconspicuous: The tires are decent all-rounders, but they are better off on gravel than on wet roots.

If a woman is looking for an E-MTB model that is also available in small frame sizes, the initially huge selection is suddenly reduced to an absolute minimum. With the Vulcano, however, the two-wheeler Stadler brand Dynamics has a visually and technically convincing model in its range: the third-generation Bosch Performance drive fits very well with a bike in this class, has a lot of power and is whisper-quiet. Thanks to the 500Wh battery, it also has a correspondingly large range for day trips. The seating position is comfortable, but overall quite sporty and excursions into easy terrain are definitely possible - the 120mm spring travel of the installed Suntour fork with steel spring also speaks for itself. Nice: The frame has eyelets for mudguards and a luggage rack. Retrofitting a lighting system is child's play with the MonkeyLink system.

Conclusion: Dynamics Vulcano
