Best Cycling Movies #8: pedal the world

8 April 2020 by Michael Behringer

Cycling Movies

Cycling films: adventure, adventure, adventure - that's what today's edition of our film series is all about. Lots of nature, many kilometers and many new impressions. This is what the main protagonists strive for. So does Felix Starck, who in pedal the world traveled the world for a year and captured all his experiences on camera.

Here you can see how you can watch this cycling film.

Pedal the World: Felix travels to 22 countries

Felix Starck covered 365 kilometers in 18.000 days. During this time he was able to get to know 22 countries and many new people. This film, released in 2015, is the result of this intensive and exciting journey pedal the world The sympathetic main protagonist started in July 2013 and, with his camera in his luggage, went on a search for the meaning of life. The 23-year-old ended up in Thailand, New Zealand and the United States, among other places.

Cycling & Adventure: There are many great films

Sport does not always have to be based on pure performance. True to the motto "The route is the goal" many adventurers pack their backpacks, jump on their bikes and ride up and away. Then what happens? You don't know yourself. But that's exactly what matters. It's a journey into the unknown. The many sympathetic encounters on the side of the road, the dreamlike nature and the soothing silence of solitude are appealing. So it is not surprising that there are numerous interesting films on this subject on the Internet. Some of them are even freely available. Next to pedal the world We especially liked the following documentaries:

  • Free as a kangaroo
  • Cycling trips make you happy
  • Alone in Africa
  • Blood Road
  • What a Trip – at 15km/h to the end of the world
