Great news from Santa Cruz: Over the next three years, the US bike manufacturer will make a total of 1 million dollars available for trail development projects, advocacy groups and events as part of the PayDirt Fund. Both private individuals and clubs worldwide can apply.
With a special project, Santa Cruz wants to ensure free access to trails, promote the creation of new trails and strengthen the position of mountain bikers in society. This also includes special educational programs for and by mountain bikers. According to the US manufacturer, the US manufacturer will pump a total of 1 million US dollars into the PayDirt Fund over the next three years in order to support private individuals as well as clubs and organizations in their commitment to mountain biking.
In order to be able to hope for support, an application must be submitted in advance. Since PayDirt is an international financing project and the cash injection comes from California, this must be done in English. Every quarter, new people, organizations and projects are selected from the applications received. The deadlines for funding applications are March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31. Applications are possible immediately, but the deadline in this case - due to the shortened quarter - is only March 31, 2020. Only one application per year will be accepted per person or community.
