Behind The Nines – MTB Edition: A look behind the scenes of the Audi Nines

August 9, 2019 by Andrew Waldera

MTB News: From September 9th to 14th, the Ellweiler quarry near Birkenfeld will be transformed into a top-class MTB spot. Pros like Nicholi Rogatkin, Ethan Nell and Sam Pilgrim will once again pull incredible tricks out of their sleeves on the spectacular and specially built freeride line. The 26-minute documentary "Behind The Nines - MTB Edition" looks back on last year's action and shows the work behind the scenes.

On September 9th, the time has finally come again: As part of the Audi Nines, the best slopestylers and freeriders meet again in the Ellweiler quarry near Birkenfeld to redefine the limits of gravity. Until September 14, the fans can look forward to blatant tricks again, especially as this year there will also be a visitor's day. The preparations for the event are already in full swing. To shorten the waiting time a bit, the 26-minute documentary "Behind The Nines - MTB Edition" has now been released. The video not only reflects the unique atmosphere of this special event, but also shows the interaction of the makers on site - and that includes the mountain bikers as well as the track builders, filmers and photographers. "Behind The Nines - MTB Edition’ takes a look back at the 2018 event and the journey to get there. Last year, the impressive location in the Ellweiler quarry celebrated its premiere in cooperation with the Bikepark Idarkopf.
