Geraint Thomas: Fall about 30 kilometers from the finish
According to current information from the Ineos team, Geraint Thomas fell about 30 kilometers from the finish in a descent. Pictures and video recordings show the Welshman sitting resignedly on the ground with no hope of being able to continue. As a result, some fans on social media are already speculating about a tour end. That would be doubly bitter, because Geraint Thomas would not be able to defend his title at the Tour de France and the Ineos team would also be missing the second captain after Chris Froome.
Examination in the Swiss hospital
Geraint Thomas is currently being examined at a local hospital. Of course, the Welshman had to give up the Tour de Suisse. In the overall standings he was eighth, 28 seconds behind. The Tour of Switzerland should have been the last preparatory race for him before the Tour de France.
Parece que tiene problems en el hombro. Siguen los problems para el Ineos. #TourDeSuisse2019 #TourDeSuisse pic.twitter.com/P0UDigrI3M
