Product News / E-Performance: The well-known and proven Orbea Wild FS is being revised for the 2019 model year, with a new geometry and fresh equipment variants. The price for the Shimano E-MTB starts at 3.699 euros.
When it was launched a little over a year ago, the Orbea Wild FS was the first e-fully in the range of the traditional manufacturer from the Spanish Basque country. For the 2019 season, the Wild FS has been given a facelift with new colours, an update to the geometry and adapted equipment. Of course, nothing has changed in the basic principle: The Shimano E-8000 drive is in the aluminum frame with 140mm spring travel at the rear and the integrated battery in the down tube. There are two new versions with a thick 36mm Fox fork and 150mm of spring travel - so the downhill faction should now also find suitable models with the Wild FS.
The geometry has been adjusted slightly compared to its predecessor and is now more modern, although no experiments or extreme dimensions are used. The moderately slack head angle of 67° is steep enough for longer tours on flat terrain, but also slack enough to avoid overturning in steep sections. The chainstays of 450mm, which are quite long for a Shimano E-MTB, promise smooth running and thanks to the compact main frame, the overall length remains within the frame; switchbacks? No problem.

Orbea Wild FS 2019: models, features and prices
The numerous equipment variants of the new Orbea Wild FS, which comes to a total of 10 models, are exciting. Apart from the two mentioned, downhill-heavy model variants with 150 forks at the front, each model is offered with 29″ and 27,5″ wheels – the 150 variants only come with the large wheels. Otherwise, Orbea relies on the e-bike wheels from DT Swiss and a chassis from Fox for almost all models. The entry-level version, which costs just under 3.700 euros, is a bit out of line with a Rock Shox suspension fork and Sun Ringle wheels. All bikes have the drive in common: Shimano E8000 and integrated 500Wh battery.
