Cycling: Pascal Ackermann (Bora-hansgrohe) successfully completed the Tour de Romandie. Finally, the German sprinter won the 181,8 kilometer stage from Mont-sur-Rolle to Geneva. There were no more changes in the overall standings. Primoz Roglic (LottoNL-Jumbo) can be happy about the victory of the tour.
Ackermann completes the perfect preliminary work
Since the Tour de Romandie was largely designed for puncheurs, time trialists and climbers, there were only a few fast sprinters at the start. But on the last stage from Mont-sur-Rolle to Geneva, the focus was on the fastest men. But first the field had to be held together. Several teams took part in this task. When it came to the last kilometers, the German team Bora-hansgrohe took command. Rüdiger Selig (Bora-hansgrohe) prepared the sprint in an exemplary manner, so that sprint captain Pascal Ackermann only had to sprint from his slipstream to victory. Nobody could avoid the sovereign German. Michael Morkov (Quick-Step Floors) was only second. In addition to Ackermann, Primoz Roglic (LottoNL-Jumbo) had reason to celebrate today. The Slovenian was able to easily defend his yellow jersey in front of Egan Bernal (Sky), who at least won the junior classification. Emanuel Buchmann (Bora-hansgrohe) finished the Tour de Romandie in ninth place.
