MTB News: On June 02nd, as part of the third edition of the X-Bike by Borbet Austria, the KTM Kobernausserwald mountain bike arena will open in Maria Schmolln. There is no lack of flowing descents and crisp climbs on the 80 kilometers of signposted MTB routes. A pump track is to follow in Maria Schmolln in spring 2019.
From the beginning of June, Upper Austria will have another highlight. In the midst of the beautiful Innviertler landscape, the KTM Kobernausserwald mountain bike arena will provide plenty of riding fun with a total of 80 kilometers of clearly signposted routes. The 55,5 kilometer long circuit with about 1400 meters in altitude leads in a fixed direction through the Kobernausserwald and the municipal areas of Maria Schmolln, Höhnhart, St. Johann am Walde and Treubach. Marked shortcuts allow less ambitious bikers to shorten the distance. The round can be started in all four communities as well as from the KTM bicycle center in Mattighofen.
Little-used side roads as well as forest paths and flowing descents come under the tunnels. Charging stations are available for e-bikers at local inns. The latest KTM e-bikes can also be hired for a trial day at the rental station on the Sonnberg golf course in St. Johann am Walde. The new KTM Kobernausserwald mountain bike arena will be opened as part of the 3rd X-Bike by Borbet Austria event in Maria Schmolln on June 02nd. Another attraction is already planned for 2019: In Maria Schmolln, a pump track will ensure smooth pushing from spring.
