Cycling: After Chris Froome perfected the Tour-Vuelta Double this year for the first time since Jacques Anquetil (1963) and Bernard Hinault (1978), his biggest competitor of this year's Tour, Rigoberto Uran, is now planning to start at the two Grands Tours in 2018, so it will be interesting to see whether the double will be repeated so quickly. Uran sees the two tours primarily as preparation for the World Championships in Innsbruck. Froome, on the other hand, expressed an interest in starting the Giro d'Italia.
"You know the teams usually decide the calendar, but I think next year it would be good to do the Vuelta a España because it's going to be a really, really tough and good World Championship after that," Rigoberto told Uran the Spanish sports newspaper Marca.
