Clothing: Test: 100% RACECRAFT - High-quality goggles with an eye-catching design

September 22, 2017 by the editorial team

Test: Anyone who is toying with the idea of buying a new pair of goggles will inevitably stumble across the models from 100% when looking for the right piece. After the American brand has been successful in the MX sector for over 30 years, its good reputation in the bike scene has been growing for years. Whether racing or downhill, the shrill and sometimes extravagant eyewear models protect the eyes of many professionals.

That's why I got one of the countless models from 100% to test. There are a total of three model lines that differ in quality and price. From the entry-level model "STRATA" to the middle-class model "ACCURI" to the high-end line "RACECRAFT" you have the choice of countless designs. In total I count about 64 different designs and there is also a complete model line for children. I finally decided on the RACECRAFT Fire Red.

100% Racecraft

The RACECRAFT has a laterally decoupled frame, which should ensure a better and more comfortable fit. The goggles also have a removable nose guard for extra protection if desired. The foam consists of three different layers and is designed to optimally absorb sweat and moisture. The coated Lexan lenses should be as resistant as possible and prevent fogging. Air inlets in the goggles, which are arranged in such a way that they ventilate the foam, also help.

Thus, the RACECRAFT promises everything you could wish for from a goggle. The first impression of the glasses does not disappoint me either. The glasses are optically an eye-catcher and the workmanship also looks very high quality. The scope of delivery also includes a clear glass, tear-offs and a glasses bag, which also contributes to the joy. The nose guard, which takes some getting used to, is easy to remove. Changing the pane is usually fiddly, but with a little skill it can also be done quickly.

The RACECRAFT convinced me in the bike park and on the trails. The field of view is sufficiently large and the lenses are of good quality. I didn't have to complain about the windows fogging up and if you take care of the lenses, they are also relatively insensitive. The RACECRAFT is very comfortable to wear and offers good comfort both in the full face and with the half shell.

Conclusion: 100% RACECRAFT

  • Extensive scope of delivery
  • High quality manufacturing

The 100% RACECRAFT Fire Red convinced me in the test. Fit, durability and performance were flawless. The price is absolutely justified considering the quality and scope of delivery. Anyone who wants to save €15 has the option of buying glasses with clear glass. However, only one glasses bag is included in the scope of delivery.
