Cycling curious: Luka Pibernik took care of the Stage 5 of the 100th Giro d'Italia for a laugh. The Slovenian from Team Bahrain Merida celebrated too early in Messina. In the hometown of his captain Vincenzo Nibali, he assumed that it was already the finish line. Instead, there was still one lap to drive. In the end, Fernando Gaviria (Quick-Step Floors) celebrated his second stage win. And Luka Pibernik? He finally finished 148th.
