News in brief: Aggressive behavior by drivers towards cyclists is unfortunately part of everyday life. However, a particularly bad incident happened last Saturday in Unterhaching near Munich. As the police announced today, a previously fleeing driver rammed a 12-year-old girl off his bike, seriously injuring her and fleeing. The reason: overtaking was not possible on the narrow road.
Incredible incident in Upper Bavaria: Last Saturday, a 12-year-old girl rode her bike on a narrow section of road on the right-hand side of the road. According to the girl, an approximately 30-year-old car driver drove into the child, repeatedly honked and yelled at her from his black car to let him overtake; However, due to the narrow road, this was not possible here. As the girl continued on her way, he hit her wheel with the right side of the vehicle and she fell badly. As he drove past, he yelled at her and insulted her before fleeing, the girl reported to the police.
At first, the 12-year-old, who was in shock, wanted to push her bike home until a passer-by noticed her, who called an ambulance, which took the girl to a children's hospital. There, among other things, a severe concussion was diagnosed.
The police are currently looking for witnesses to the incident. The license plate of the vehicle probably has the location code WE or WL. Notes can be left with the police accident squad:
