Cycling: Even two days after the Tour of Flanders, there is still heated discussion about Peter Sagan's fall at the Oude Kwaremont. As now two newly surfaced videos prove, a spectator's black jacket caused Peter Sagan's fall at the Ronde van Vlaanderen on Sunday.
In both videos you can clearly see that Peter Sagan gets his left arm caught on his jacket and his front wheel then tilts to the left. As a result, Sagan drives directly into the gang and falls. Greg Van Avermaet driving behind him can no longer avoid it. Oliver Naesen also gets caught on the jacket and then pulls it to the ground.
Klaus says
Well, what an idiot, he drives so close that way, he could have gotten stuck on the struts of the fence.
Walker says
Well, what an idiot who puts his jacket over the rails, although you know how close the riders are to the limit with their bikes on the struts of the fences...
