MTB News: With a new title sponsor and route optimization, the 3-day mountain bike stage race VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro is starting its second round on June 30, 2017. According to the organizer, the route in the middle of the mountain scenery of St. Moritz should be minimally defused, but at the same time more interesting. The race is open to professionals and amateur riders.
At the successful premiere last year, no fewer than 400 participants from 16 nations took part. The stage race was able to score points with the participating athletes due to a high proportion of single trails and the perfect organization. The trails were designed in such a way that even hobby riders could master them without any problems. Those responsible want to continue the successful concept with some innovations this year. In the second edition, fewer kilometers, fewer meters in altitude and fewer running sections await the participants. On the other hand, more trails should ensure greater driving fun. All in all, the organizer promises an even more attractive and beautiful overall package for the second round.
The VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro 2017 event starts on June 30th with the individual time trial over 15,1 kilometers. 844 vertical meters are on the program, although this time there will also be a downhill section. The start is in St. Moritz-Bad, the destination is St. Moritz-Salastrains. On Saturday, June 1st, the participants can look forward to the king's stage with 75,8 kilometers and 2.079 meters in altitude. The third stage on Sunday takes the cyclists 62,1 kilometers and 1.796 meters in altitude through the Engadin mountains. Of course, the final stage will not be stingy with scenic attractions either. The start and finish of the last two stages is marked by Silvaplana.
Registration for the 3-day mountain bike stage race VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro 2017 has been open since November 7th, 2016.
