MTB News: For the 2017 season, Cannondale Factory Racing has announced major team roster changes. For the first time in the team's history, female drivers will also be competing for Cannondale Factory Racing this year. The Grobert sisters from Freiburg were committed.
With Helen and Hannah Grobert, Cannondale Factory Racing brings two top-class drivers on board who will bring a breath of fresh air to the team. Helen Grobert has already won two U23 MTB World Cups and crowned the 2015 season by winning the German XC Championship. At her Olympic debut last year, the 24-year-old from Freiburg finished in an excellent twelfth place. The youngest on the Cannondale Factory Racing team will be her sister Hannah at just 19 years old. The young driver in the U23 class should support Helen on her way.
Another strong addition to the team is Frenchman Maxime Marotte (30). The number 3 in the UCI World Ranking and World Cup Total Score 2016 reached fourth place at the Olympic Games in Rio. The team is completed by the previous drivers Manuel Fumic (34) from Germany and Henrique Avancini (27) from Brazil. However, Marco Aurelio Fontana and Anton Cooper will no longer compete for Cannondale Racing Factory.
