Cycling / Market: The Swedish clothing and helmet specialist POC is expanding its involvement in cycling for the coming year and will be the clothing partner of the WorldTour Team Cannondale-Drapac from January 1st. Previously POC had supplied helmets and goggles, the team kit came from Castelli. Both sides expect the new cooperation to be a step forward.
Cannondale-Drapac riders have been wearing POC helmets and goggles since 2014. The products not only had to prove themselves at the highest level of cycling in recent years, but the feedback from the athletes was also valuable input for the development department of the Swedish manufacturer. This fruitful cooperation will now be expanded from January 1st, 2017 and Davide Formolo and Co. will also be equipped with jerseys, bibs and accessories from POC in the future.
Jonathan Vaughters (Cannondale-Drapac Team Principal): “Over the past three seasons, POC has continued to impress us with their innovation and support. I am proud of our partnership as POC fully understands our desires and will help us achieve our future goals. In addition, their mission, which we all take to heart, fits in with our sustainable approach to developing drivers over the long term.”
Oscar Huss (Head of Product Development POC): “The team is full of interesting and talented athletes. In addition, the environment works in a highly professional manner, which means that we are able to improve our products and constantly ensure that the team is one step ahead every day.
