Cycling: The 17th edition of the Rothaus RiderMan took place in Bad Dürrheim last weekend in fantastic late summer weather. More than 700 tour starters faced the challenges of the three-day stage race, which was won by Beate Zanner for the women and Manuel Kirfel for the men. The individual time trial over a distance of 16 kilometers was already on the program on Friday. Already on the first day of the event, Beate Zanner (Maxx-Solar Cycling Team) and Manuel Kirfel (Bürstner Dümo Cycling Team) made their claim to overall victory clear. Both Zanner and Kirfel conjured up new track record times on the asphalt with 23:45:4 minutes and 20:51:8 minutes respectively.

On Saturday, the participants of the Rothaus RiderMan 2016 could look forward to 110 kilometers and 1700 meters in altitude through a charming landscape. Beate Zanner won the women's stage with an impressive lead of 11 minutes. For the men, the day's victory was decided in the sprint. Florian Vrecko (Team Strassacker) was only just able to hold his ground in front of Manuel Kirfel.

In the final stage on Sunday with 87 kilometers, Beate Zanner again did not miss a beat and closed the bag with her third day's victory! Christina Koep (Team Koga Ladies) came second overall in the women's category ahead of Alicja Verhagen (Team Jos Feron Lady Force) from the Netherlands. For Manuel Kirfel, 16th place on the last day was enough for the overall victory of the Rothaus RiderMan 2016. The podium was completed by Florian Vrecko and Kirfel's teammate Julian Horstmann.

The date for the 18th edition of Rothaus RiderMan 2017 has already been set. From September 29th to October 01st, 2017, cyclists can once again look forward to a fantastic cycling weekend in Bad Dürrheim.
