MTB cycling / everyone: This coming weekend, the Mountainbike Enduro One series will be making its fourth and penultimate tour stop of the current season at the Ochsenkopf. Almost 400 starters have registered so far, but late entries on site are still possible.
The "delicacy" at the Ochsenkopf has established itself as an integral part of the Enduro One mountain bike racing series in recent years. On the 20th/21st August the series will be making a guest appearance in the Fichtelgebirge for the third time in a row. The riders can look forward to alpine trails in the tranquil low mountain range, which will provide excitement and fun in equal measure. There are eight classes from E1 Beginner to E1 Pro. A separate rating applies to starters with e-bikes. Training and the prologue take place on Saturday, followed by the main race with 30 kilometers and six stages on Sunday.
Race director Chris Decher reveals exactly what the riders can expect: “We have come up with some delicacies again this time. The route with six stages leads to the best trails on the Ochsenkopf and sections of the downhill route. Part of the uphill is conquered with the lift. The rock, root and steep passages typical of the Fichtelgebirge paired with flowing sections and fun jumps as well as some north shore elements certainly don't let boredom arise. Thanks to chicken lines, the technically more demanding parts of the route can also be driven by everyone".
