Date and location are fixed: German E-Bike Championship 2020 at the Ochsenkopf

13 January 2020 by Andrew Waldera

MTB News / E-Performance: The German E-Bike Championship 2020 (DEBM) will take place on 18./19. July in the Fichtelgebirge at the Ochsenkopf across the stage. For the upcoming event, the organizers are sticking to last year's competition concept with at least four e-bike disciplines over two days.

German E-Bike Championship

On July 18th and 19th, the German E-MTB elite will fight for the DM title 2020 at the Ochsenkopf. Some drivers should already be familiar with the demanding routes on the Ochsenkopf. The well-known Enduro One racing series, which established a separate category for e-bikers very early on, has made several guest appearances here. The competition concept of last year's German championship will be largely retained in 2020. The program therefore includes at least four disciplines over two days.

Christian Hens from the promoter BABOONS relies fully on the organizational team around Peter Hanke for the planning: "The organizational team on site at the Ochsenkopf headed by Peter Hanke knows our requirements and the demands of an E-Bike DM. And we know that the makers there come up with some ideas to successfully carry out such a prestigious event".

After last year's event, the feedback from all participants was also obtained and implemented as part of an e-bike expert panel for the German E-Bike Championship 2020. The regulations were further developed in cooperation with the best German e-bike pilots. The competition concept with several evaluation disciplines has also been confirmed. The application for the E-Bike DM 2020 is already online, online registration opens on January 17 at 17:01 p.m.
