Market: After opening the agencies in Asia, Canyon is about to strike another international blow: the Koblenz-based bike manufacturer is currently preparing for a local presence in Australia and New Zealand. Market entry is planned for the end of the year.
The team leader for Australia and New Zealand will be Darryl Moliere, who has been a member of Canyon Crew since July 2015. From the Melbourne office, the team will be available to customers and interested parties as a direct contact. Telephone customer support with advice and sales is also part of the crew's area of responsibility, as is service after the bike has been delivered. In addition, the Canyon Crew will be present at the events in Australia and New Zealand.
Darryl Moliere is self-confident before entering the market: “Having been following the development of Canyon with excitement for years, I am very happy to be the first Australian member of the Canyon Crew. During my visit to Koblenz a few days ago, I experienced first-hand how much work and passion goes into all Canyon bikes - across all departments. The Canyon Crew wants to build the best bikes in the world and has already been rewarded with numerous prizes and awards throughout Europe. All cycling fans in Australia and New Zealand can look forward to excellent local service and advice.”
With the creation of a local presence later this year, the 2016 models will already be available to cyclists Down Under. These can be ordered at canyon.com. After assembly in Koblenz, the bikes are sent directly to the local cycling fans.
