Lifestyle: Literally in the last second, Antoine Bizet was able to win the FMB World Tour Gold Event 26TRIX in Leogang. In the super final, the Frenchman once again put everything on one card and relegated last year's winner Nicholi Rogatkin to second place.
Although Bizet already showed during training that he was one of the top favorites of the contest, the points after his two final runs were not enough for the podium. On his third and final run, the Frenchman, who is starting for Kona Bicycles, delighted the judges and 4.000 spectators with a cash roll, flatspin X-up, double backflip, backflip 360, barspin on the hip and a frontflip no-hand. With this convincing run, the American Nicholi Rogatkin, who had been leading until then, was knocked off the throne at the last moment.
Rogatkin thought he was safe after his outstanding first run and didn't start the second run - a game with fire that didn't pay off for the American this time. Nevertheless, the high-flyer from the USA was very satisfied with his second place, especially since he won the title of GoPro Best Trick Winner. Combo champion Thomas Genon from Belgium took third place in the 26TRIX ahead of Brit Sam Reynolds.
The performance of BMX legend Ryan Nyquist was also eagerly awaited. The American, who has already won numerous medals at the X Games, drove his first dirt jump contest on a mountain bike in Leogang. Unfortunately, after an unfortunate fall in qualifying, the points weren't enough to qualify for the final.
