Last Saturday it was time again for the team presentation of Team GREEN'N FIT 2015, which was eagerly awaited by all drivers, partners and sponsors. As in the previous year, we met at the Walkenhorst car dealership in Gütersloh. The BMW dealership is also a partner of the team this year and, among other things, is once again providing the team Mini.
This is always a special moment for us drivers. On the one hand, of course, because we get the new equipment, but on the other hand you meet all the drivers again after the long winter and have the opportunity to get to know the new members of the team personally for the first time.
After arrival and the first casual conversations, we started this year with a detailed welcome and introduction by Ole Ternes. Ole is the owner of the livewelt agency, which handles the entire organization behind the GREEN'N FIT team. We got an introduction to the main sponsor TRUW, the agency, the idea behind the team and all other sponsors.
Then the handing out of materials started, which of course was the highlight of the day for us! Fabian from BMC, who is our bike sponsor again this year, also came here!
It became a whirlwind bunch of team members arguing at length about whether the jersey would fit better in a size up or down, and whether enough leg press work had been done over the winter to be able to take the leg warmers in L this time.
After everyone had found the right sizes for the new Northwave jerseys, it was time for the photo shoot. Individual portraits and various team photos were taken for our website and Facebook. Especially with the individual portraits, we didn't take ourselves too seriously at one point or another, which resulted in funny pictures.
This was followed by the official part with representatives of the local press. We were particularly pleased about the visit from Markus Stera, who made the extra trip to Gütersloh. The managing director of the company TRUW, who is the main sponsor of the team with their product GREEN'N FIT, also took part in the official part with Martin Steiner.
At the end of the successful day, the team completed an easy three-hour trip through the district of Gütersloh and the surrounding area in the best spring weather.
The month of March is now dominated by the training camp for almost all team members. As every year, a large part will come back to Mallorca to collect the last important basic kilometers there before the races start in April.
We drivers would like to take this opportunity to thank all sponsors and supporters who make it possible for us to practice the most beautiful sport in the world with top equipment again this year!
